Zoning Requests, Convenience Site Improvements on Commissioners' Monday Agenda
Monday, November 2, at 6:30 p.m.
LINCOLNTON, N.C. – Two zoning requests, improvements at county convenience sites and a proclamation honoring veterans are among the items Lincoln County Commissioners will consider when they meet Monday, November 2, at 6:30 p.m.
Commissioners and the Lincoln County Planning Board will hold public hearings on two proposed zoning changes.
The first involves a 2.08-acre property at 366 Amity Church Road in Ironton Township, where an applicant is seeking conditional industrial zoning to allow expansion of an existing vehicle repair facility.
The second request involves 1.36 acres at 3306 N. NC 16 Business Highway in Catawba Springs Township. The applicant is seeking to change the property's zoning from single-family residential to office-residential.
Commissioners will also consider authorizing the purchase of waste compactors for the Car Farm and Owls Den convenience sites, equipment intended to support operations at the county's solid waste collection facilities.
Another agenda item is a proclamation supporting Operation Green Light, a nationwide initiative encouraging communities to show appreciation and support for military veterans.
The board's consent agenda includes extensions of subdivision performance guarantees for several phases of the Sylvan Creek development and an extension and reduction for Stratford Phase 1.
A public comment period is also scheduled.
The meeting will be held at the Lincoln County Administration Building, 353 N. Generals Boulevard in Lincolnton. Residents may attend in person or watch the meeting online through the county's livestream.
