Shirley Ann Stroup Shull
August 17, 1949—October 21, 2026
WACO, N.C.—Shirley Ann Stroup Shull, age 77, passed away at her home on October 21, 2026. She was a lifelong resident of Waco.
Born August 17, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Lee Stroup and Mamie Louise Ross Stroup. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Paul Ray Shull.
She is survived by cousins and her sisters-in-law Carolyn Panther, Jessica Thomas, Beverly Henderson, and Bobbie Kale.
Shirley retired from Cleveland Pines Nursing Center in Shelby. She cherished the lifelong friendships she had with her coworkers and always looked forward to their frequent phone calls, notes, and cards.
Services will be held at Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Cherryville on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 1 p.m., with Pastor G. Scott Homesley officiating.
Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services of Cherryville, N.C. is serving the Shull family.
