LINCOLNTON, N.C. - The party is ON for Independence Day this year! The celebration on Thursday, JULY 4th starts with the parade at 8:30 p.m. and the Fireworks Show at 9:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to join the fun!

All parade entries must be submitted online. Parade entries are FREE, but registration is required. The online entry deadline is midnight on Sunday, July 2.

The FIREWORKS show is ON! Bigger and higher than ever from 9:30 -10 p.m. But there will be NO viewing or program at the Lincolnton High School Stadium. The Fireworks Show launch zone is now at CITY PARK. For everyone's safety during the show, North Aspen Street from Dixon Street to Flint Street will be closed to traffic.

Here are some great viewing locations:

The Lincolnton High School student parking lots and Aspen Street sports fields
First Federal Park downtown at Sycamore Street and Poplar Street
Along North General's Boulevard near North Aspen Street (Tractor Supply)
Northside neighborhoods including North Laurel, Poplar, and Cedar
Show off your patriotic spirit and creativity with an entry in the parade. Bikes, trikes, cars, trucks, trailers, floats - all are welcome to join the fun parading down Main Street and North Aspen Steet.

The line-up starts at 7 p.m. in the order of arrival to check-in at the corner of East Water Street and Court Square. NO early admittance is allowed!

Parade Rules:

All entries must have a patriotic theme and carry or display the American Flag.
All entries MUST CHECK-IN at the line-up entry on East Water Street at Court Square.
LINE-UP TIME: 7-8:30 p.m. The lineup will be on WATER STREET, enter from Court Square. No early entries are allowed. Parade order based on arrival to the line-up.
NO THROWING OF CANDY OR SMALL ITEMS TO THE PUBLIC. Entries with walkers may pass out small items to spectators along the parade route.
Entries should keep TWO (2) car lengths apart during the parade procession.
