Public Service Announcement: Solid Waste Schedule Change

City of Lincolnton Veterans Day Holiday Collection Schedule - Wednesday, November 11, 2026
The City of Lincolnton Solid Waste Department announces a temporary adjustment to the trash collection schedule in observance of the Veterans Day holiday on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.
All City administrative offices and departments will be closed on Wednesday, November 11th.
Solid Waste Collection Schedule Adjustment
The collection schedule will be as follows:
· Monday – Regular schedule collection
· Tuesday – Regular schedule collection
· Wednesday – No Collection
· Thursday – Wednesday and Thursday’s routes will be collected
Important Reminder
Residents and businesses who normally have collection on Wednesday should place their carts at the curb the night before the 12th.
With crews running double routes on Thursday, we ask for city residents to be patient and to leave their trash container at the curb longer than normal.
The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, November 16, 2026.
