Lincoln County Publishes Delinquent Tax List for 2024

The Lincoln County Tax Department has officially published the list of property owners who have not paid their 2024 property taxes. The announcement, authorized under North Carolina General Statute §105-369, was made by Tax Administrator Susan Sain and follows an order issued by the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.
This notice affects property owners who owe taxes to Lincoln County, the City of Lincolnton and various Special Tax Districts. As of May 02, 2025, these taxes remain unpaid. In accordance with state law, the county has begun the process of advertising tax liens on those properties.
The tax lien advertisement serves as a legal claim by the county against the listed properties and it could lead to further enforcement action if the debts are not settled.
Property owners are encouraged to check the published list and resolve any outstanding balances immediately to avoid further penalties, fees or the possibility of a foreclosure process.
