Harold "Deanie" Dean Sain Thomas
December 11, 1954 — June 23, 2026
HUDSON, N.C.—Harold “Deanie” Dean Sain Thomas, 71, of Hudson, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Amorem.
Born December 11, 1954, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Harold Sain and Beulah Jackson.
Deanie grew up in Crouse, where she helped care for her seven siblings, and attended West Lincoln High School. She enjoyed baking her famous pumpkin pies, listening to oldies music, and could often be found sitting in her rocking chair. Deanie will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and forgiving nature. Although she never had much, she was always willing to give whatever she could to someone in need.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer Frady (Greg) and Vincent Sain; her grandchildren, Wesley, Kolton, Aiblene, and June; her great-grandson, Chance; five siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Thomas; her sister, Caron Henderick; her grandson, Matthew Frady; and her partner in life, Greg Schafer.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Cherryville Church of the Nazarene, 300 W. 2nd St., Cherryville, NC 28021.
