Essie Hoffman Williams
September 28, 1932—January 29, 2026
LINCOLNTON, N.C.—Essie Hoffman Williams, age 93, of Hoffman Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Hoyle and Rev. William Kanupp officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Ashe-Leigh Brusso, 1552 Ivey Church Road in Maiden, on Friday from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Ms. Williams was born September 28, 1932, in Lincoln County, to the late Brady Jonas Hoffman Sr. and Essie Myrtle Kale Hoffman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Leonard Hoffman, Clara Hoffman Hoyle, Faith Hoffman Nance, Earl Hoffman, B.J. Hoffman, Worth Hoffman, Rachel Hoffman Campbell, and Lathan Hoffman; and her son-in-law, Ted Heavner.
She is survived by her loving family, Tammy Williams Heavner of Lincolnton, and Eddie Williams (Pam) of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Ashe-Leigh Heavner Brusso, Fallon V. Crofoot, Olivia Williams Dudley, Amanda Williams, and Ethan Williams; and great-grandchildren, Corbin Brusso, Cagney Brusso, Brinkley Crofoot, Layla Crofoot, and Sutton Crofoot.
