HUNTERSVILLE, N.C.—Annie Laura Emehel Brown, 84, of Huntersville, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Abernethy Laurels Health Care.
She was born on September 3, 1942, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, to the late Rush Sherrill and Mary Davis Sherrill.
Annie was a dedicated educator who earned her master's degree and devoted her career to teaching in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. She was a member of New Friendship Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Ebony & White’s Funeral Service of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Brown family.
