The Criticism Got Too Personal

A rezoning request that would have allowed the construction of 162 townhomes at the intersection of NC73 and N. Ingleside Farm Road was withdrawn and won't be considered at Monday night's (March 18th) Lincoln County Commissioners meeting. What bothered this reporter as much or more than the public opposition to the planned development was the way some of those who opposed it took the opportunity to level undue criticism at the property owners--whose philanthropy has helped make East Lincoln a desirable place to live.
