Perhaps you read the article about the robbery this past Monday (March 25th) at the Dollar General store on Highway 10 in northwestern Lincoln County.  At 11:40 AM deputies responding to that call learned that two masked suspects armed with handguns had robbed the store.

A similar robbery had occurred at the Dollar General at 224 E. Stagecoach Trail in Lawndale the previous Wednesday (March 20th) at about noon. In that robbery, the two suspects took $248 and fled on foot.

During their investigation, Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office investigators identified one of the suspects as a male juvenile who has been charged. The other suspect, also a juvenile, was interviewed and released to a parent.  Both were said to be residents of Shelby.

Detectives with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Gastonia Police Department, Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office and Shelby Police Department are trying to identify the owner of a black 2020 or 2021 Ford Edge involved in all three robberies.
