VALE, N.C. - Harrel Daniel Hull, 87, of Hwy 27 West, Vale, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024.

Born in Lincoln County on August 12, 1936, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Hull and Viola Lingerfelt Hull. Harrel was owner and operator of Hull's 66. He was a member of Hebron Church where he was a part of the Methodist Men's group. Harrel was one of the founding members of the West Lincoln Optimist Club.

Harrel was an icon of the Vale community and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Trammell Hull; son, Daniel Ray Hull; brother, Richard Hull and three sisters, Valda Leonhardt, Merle McNeely and Mildred Crawley.

Survivors include his son, Donald "Duck" Hull and wife, Teresa of Vale; daughter, Carol Hull Black and husband, Randy of Vale; brother, Darrell Hull of Pumpkin Center; five grandchildren, April Johnson, Jason Hull, Crystal Teague, Benji Black and Casey Hull and ten great-grandchildren, Chandler Johnson, Destiny Brittain, Katlin Hoyle, Nathan Hull, Landon Teague, Ruby Black, Aubrey Teague, Jake Black, Collins Teague and Ava Black.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at Hebron Church of Vale.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Hebron Church of Vale with the Pastor Forrestene Sain and Rev. Paul Simpson officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Hebron Church Cemetery.
