LINCOLNTON, N.C. - At the Lincoln County Board of Education Meeting April 9, 2024 the Board approved the Superintendent’s recommendation to name Mrs. Alysha McCrary Tench the Coordinator of Accountability and Student Information effective July 1, 2024.

Mrs. Tench is currently the Assistant Principal at Rock Springs Elementary, where she has served since August 2021.  Before she moved to Rock Springs, Tench taught at North Lincoln Middle School for eleven years.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Math and Science from Western Carolina University and a Master’s Degree in Executive Leadership from Gardner-Webb University.  

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to grow in this role and I look forward to collaborating with staff, families, and community members across the district,” said Tench.

Mrs. Tench replaces Rusty Saine, who is retiring in June.
