LOWESVILLE––Cherryville-based Heart 2 Heart will perform a free concert on Dec. 10 at 5 p.m.
The Vineyard Church of Lowesville is the place to be, according to noted gospel singer and concert co-ordinator Carroll Cooke. And although the concert is free, as he recently noted, a free-will offering will be taken up.
Formed 24 years ago, Heart 2 Heart features the husband-and-wife team of David and Deana Kiser and their friend, Rhonda House. This tremendous trio has won multiple awards and released many albums, and they’re always a big fan favorite on the Southern gospel music circuit. According to the Singing News gospel music publication, the group’s latest single, “That’s Why We Pray,” is a huge hit. Its follow-up is “Happy, Glad Day,” as Mr. Kiser recently told Singing News.
“It was such a joy to release the single, ‘Happy, Glad Day,’ in the midst of the challenging times we’ve seen,” he observed, adding of its related single, “‘That’s Why We Pray’ just emphasizes the confidence and trust we have in God and makes that message complete. We hope these songs keep offering the encouragement people need to hear. The lyrics ‘time after time, He never fails’ really speak to everyone’s situation.”
One of the fastest rising groups on the Southern gospel scene today, Heart 2 Heart was recently honored with one of the top 10 nominations in the Singing News Fan Awards in the “Favorite New Artist” category.
The Vineyard Church is located at 1062 NC-16 South in Lowesville, just down the road from Hill’s Chapel United Methodist Church. The church features Southern, bluegrass and/or acoustic gospel concerts every Saturday evening.
