Rarely do I say words of over-generalization but, this time I feel it is necessary.  Never, never take your worship for granted and miss the meaningfulness of the event.  There is a new movement among citizens of our communities to dismiss God from the language of public conversation in the argument of offending someone.  This ought never to be allowed.  However, the very nature of our conversation is founded on how important we think it is.  If society wants to erase any trace of God, it is important to Christians to make it live in our conduct and conversation.   This is not for ugly in-your-face reasons, but for testimony as to His importance among us.  If God isn’t important to us who claim to be Christian, then how will the world ever recognize what we think or believe?  Live your beliefs and the world will see you and they will be challenged.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help us live out our faith in You so there will be no question as to whom our loyalties are attached.  Help us not be harsh or ugly with those who would happily seek to remove You from our world because of their unbelief.  Let them see You living in us and by Your hand alone may they come to a new understanding.  You are our Creator and we know it right well.  Help the unbelief of those who claim superior knowledge and yet are without understanding.  Help us when we stray from faith.
