Pleasant Grove UMC Fundraiser, Saturday, October 8: Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church at 2069 Highway 182 West, Lincolnton, NC 28092 will have a BBQ Sandwiches/Fried Apple Pies Sale Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. BBQ sandwiches will be $3, fried apple pies $3, and a bag lunch with a sandwich, chips, a cookie and drink will be $5. Calvary Baptist, 70th Anniversary Homecoming, October 8-9: Calvary Baptist Church, 493 Calvary Church Rd., Lincolnton, NC 28092 will celebrate their 70th Anniversary over two days, October 8 and 9. On Saturday, October 8 at 5 p.m. a meal will be provided by the church in the fellowship building followed by a praise and worship service in the sanctuary by Todd and Abby Ledford Sutton. Also, former youth pastors tha will be speaking are Rick Link, Matt Seagle, Josh Lathan, and Brandon Blair. Then, on Sunday, October 9 at 10 a.m. (no Sunday School) worship service in the sanctuary with guest speakers Dr. Gary Byrd, Pastor David Jones, Rev. Ernie Richards, and Pastor Bruce Brooks. Special music provided by Todd and Abby Sutton. BCUMC Pumpkin Patch, Now – October 31: Boger City United Methodist Church’s Pumpkin Patch will open on Saturday, September 24 with over 2,000 pumpkins and gourds from the Navaho Indian Reservation in Farmington, New Mexico. This fundraiser helps fund their church missions and helps benefit the Navaho Nation. Hours for the Pumpkin Patch will be Monday-Friday from 12 noon until 8 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday 12 noon until 8 p.m. Prices will be based on the size of the pumpkins and gourds.
