LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Brenda Clark Brackett was born in Lincolnton to the late Thomas Clark, Sr. and Doretha S. Clark. She made her transition on November 30, 2022 at Spartanburg Hospice, Spartanburg S.C.
She received her education from East Lincoln High School class of 1982. She worked at Timken over 20 years and then worked at Burger King in Gaffney, S.C.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years James Brackett; her son Ronald Sansbury; step-daughter Tawana Brackett; grandchildren Annaliyah, Journee, Lianah, Julian, Ariel, Joriah, Adalynn; step-grandchildren Brittany Willams, Robert Williams IV, Brionna Williams, Anthony; two step-great-grandchildren Kayden Sam and Roma Oliver. Brenda is also survived by her four brothers Thomas (Wanda) Clark of Charlotte, Terry (Etta) Clark of Stanley, Blair Clark of Iron Station, Isaac Clark of Lenoir; her three sisters Ella Staley of Iron Station, Rita Bynum of Iron Station, Issie (Billy) Anderson of Stanley, brother-in-law Marion Brackett of New York, brother-in-law George Oliver of Cowpens, her special niece Mona Lisa of Brooklyn, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Jacquelina Friday and Althea Clark.
The family received friends from 2 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 454 Mount Vernon Church Rd., Iron Station, NC 28080. The funeral service followed at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022,at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, with burial immediately after in the Mount Vernon Church Cemetery.
