LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Lucille Waters McSwain, age 83, of John Chapman Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, November 11, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at David Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Jenkins and Rev. Mike Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. McSwain was born November 29, 1938, in Gaston County, to the late Garnie Waters and Finer Lee Hoyle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Donald McSwain; and two sisters, Margaret Barker and Dorothy Howard. She worked as a seamstress and homemaker.
She is survived by daughters, Rita Cronland (Stan) of Lincolnton, Freida Rednour (Mark) of Maiden, and Angie Jenkins (Richard) of Lincolnton; son, Rick McSwain (Melissa) of Lincolnton; sister, Betty Goins of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to David Memorial Baptist Church, 2533 Country Club Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
