NEWTON, N.C. - Callie Ima Jean Beal, age 87, of Newton passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Abernathy Laurels in Newton.
Born June 27, 1935 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late James and Challie Sherrill Beal. She was a member of Lawings Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, two brothers, Jerrell and Dayton Beal and sister-in-law, Laura Beal preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother Jimmie Beal of Newton; nephew Myron James Beal; three nieces Patti Beal, Chandra Holbrooks and husband Chris, Nicole Sigmon and husband Zack; three great-nephews Caden Holbrooks, Jackson Sigmon, Wyatt Sigmon; and great-niece Grace Holbrooks.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Lawings Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jason Canipe officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Burke Mortuary in Maiden.
