IRON STATION, N.C. - Joy Agnes Goodson Stiles Brewster, age 86, of Reinhardt Circle in Iron Station was finally reunited with all her family and loved ones in heaven on Saturday, September 17, 2022.
Ms. Brewster was born September 21, 1935, in Lincoln County, a daughter of the late John H. Goodson and Lillian Agnes Bynum Goodson.
Ms. Brewster is survived by her son, Alan Stiles and wife Paula, of Crouse; daughter, Kim Stamey and husband Mark, of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Haley Stamey of Lincolnton, and Aaron Stamey and wife, Natalie, of Charlotte; and great-grandchild, Charlotte Stamey.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Brewster was preceded in death by her first husband, Harley Stiles; second husband, Lonnie Brewster; brother, John “Bud” Goodson Jr.; and three sisters, Virginia Martin, Mary Rozzelle, and Louise Engle.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Iron Station Community Cemetery with Reverend Amy Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends following the service by the graveside. Ms. Brewster’s body laid-in-state on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Warlick Funeral Home.
