IRON STATION, N.C. - Alvin Wilson Jones, age 80, of 5615 Old Plank Road of Iron Station, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Yount officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Alvin was born August 12, 1941, in Lincoln County, to the late Earl Jones and Corene Senter Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Jones. He worked as a supervisor in shipping.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel Moody Jones of the home; sons, Kenneth Jones (Natasha), Jeff Jones (Emily), and Johnny Jones, all of Iron Station; sister, Barbara Jones of Iron Station; seven grandchildren, Candice, Brandan, Wesley, Dakota, Jessica, Chase and Breleigh; and seven great-grandchildren, Abigail, Silas, Emma, Carter, Oakley, Walt, and Laney.
