Members of the “American Pickers” television show are planning to return to the Carolinas in February.

That’s the word Wednesday from producers Jasmina Joseph and Meredith Ball. Joseph told The Herald that antiques experts Mike Wolfe, Frank Fritz and Danielle Colby are scheduled to come back through the two states in about two months. The show has filmed in the Carolinas before.

“American Pickers” is a popular History Channel documentary series all about Wolfe, Fritz and Colby travelling the country and picking their way through countless collections of antiques––“rusty gold,” as they call it––never knowing what treasures they might find hidden away in people’s attics and garages.

“They are always excited to find sizable, unique collections and learn the interesting stories behind them,” Joseph observed. “As they hit the backroads from coast to coast, the pickers are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, they want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items. They hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way. The pickers have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always looking to discover something they’ve never seen before. They are ready to find extraordinary items and hear fascinating tales about them.”

Got something in your closet, your attic or a backyard shed that you think Wolfe, Fritz and Colby might find interesting? Joseph added that the show’s staffers are looking for leads and would love to explore your hidden treasures.

“If you or someone you know has a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through, we would love to hear from you!” she said. “Please note: the pickers do not pick stores, flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums or anything open to the public.”

If you’re interested, e-mail the show your name, telephone number, location and description of the collection with photographs: [email protected] or call (646) 493-2184. You can also find “American Pickers” information on Facebook.
