GAME RECAP: North Lincoln 36, Lincolnton 26... An interception on the Wolves' first possession gave North Lincoln the ball and Jake Soorus scored on a two-yard run; Ian Fiore's kick made it 7-0 in the 1st quarter. Lincolnton then got to the NL one-yard line, but a penalty pushed them back to the six, Caden Wyatt then ran it to the two-yard line, and then ran for the TD. The EP kick tied the game near the end of the first quarter. Lincolnton scored again but missed the EP; then Soorus scored a TD and Clayton Cribb ran for two extra points and NL led 15-13. Another Knights TD by Soorus on a one-yard run just before halftime made it 22-13. In the second half, after the Knights dropped a punt, Wyatt got the Wolves on the scoreboard again running multiple times and finishing the drive with a TD run. The EP kick made it 22-20. Lincolnton then scored to take the lead as the fourth quarter began 26-22. Landon Beard then scored with just under eight minutes left in the game and the kick made it 29-26. North got one more TD to put the game out of reach. Next week, it's the game for the South Fork Conference Championship as the Knights host Bandys. Lincolnton finishes its season at Maiden.
