We've made it clear in a closing section to many of our sports articles: we do our best to keep up with high school sports--but we can't do it without help. We rely on coaches, athletic directors, players and fans to keep us informed so we can recognize their teams' accomplishments and inform readers of scores, etc.
We haven't provided any coverage this season to wrestling or swimming--because with the only exception Butch Ross of WLHS, not one of the coaches (or anybody else) has provided us with any info.
Using trackwrestling.com, we're going to try to post more results of events coming up in the new year. We begin today by highlighting briefly some of the events involving two area teams: West Lincoln and Lincolnton. For LHS, we couldn't even find a schedule. If you look on the LHS page under Lincoln County Schools, you see last year's (2021-2022) schedule. MaxPreps provides a backup for basketball scores, but they don't provide anything on wrestling or swimming.
