Rain is forecast for Friday, possibly more than an inch, and that has caused most high schools still involved in the NCHSAA playoffs to move their games up to Thursday. They may encounter the same problem Thursday night when the Weather Service says there'll be a 95% chance of rain, also possibly an inch or more.
The schedule is subject to change again, but as of Wednesday afternoon, Lincolnton's game at Monroe is now scheduled for 7:30 Thursday evening; East Lincoln's home game hosting Tuscola is also scheduled for 6 PM Thursday. The Maiden Blue Devils home game vs Mt. Pleasant is so far still set for Friday night at 7:30, but the game could be moved to Saturday.
Shelby at Burns is now scheduled for 7 PM Thursday. Bunker Hill's game at Community School of Davidson is now scheduled for 7 PM Thursday. Kings Mountain's game hosting Smoky Mountain is still set for 7:30 Friday--but again, that may change. The Crest at Oak Grove game has been rescheduled for 7 PM Thursday. South Point's visit to Greensboro Dudley has been moved to 7:30 Thursday.
As we said, schedules are subject to change again. When the games are played, you can hear the Lincolnton at Monroe game on WLON Radio (1050AM, 107.5FM) and on Tune-in. The East Lincoln game will be on YouTube (find ktcbroadcasting.com and the game description). The Maiden game will be on WNNC Radio (1230AM, 101.3FM) and online at https://wnncradio.com/football/. WNNC will also have reports on the Bunker Hill game. WCSL (1590AM, 92.9FM) will carry the Kings Mountain game (also online at http://www.ktcbroadcasting.com/. WOHS (1390AM, 101.5FM) will have the Crest game (also online at http://www.ktcbroadcasting.com/.
