East Lincoln got the #4 seed in the West for the 3A NCHSAA soccer playoffs. The Mustangs (15-4-3) will host #29 North Buncombe (8-12-1) in the first round of the playoffs on Tuesday (Nov. 1st) at 6:30 PM. Asheboro (19-1-2) got the #1 seed; Forestview (17-1-0) was seeded #2; and Hibriten (16-3-3) was seeded third. Forestview hosted #31 Northeast Guilford (13-6-2) on Monday. The Jaguars won 4-0.

North Lincoln also made the playoffs. Seeded #21, the Knights (9-10-2) will visit #12 seed St. Stephens (13-4-1) Tuesday at 6 PM. #10 seed Hickory (16-2-3) hosted #23 Smokey Mountain (6-8-5) in a game that was played Monday.  The Red Tornadoes won 6-0. Fred T. Foard (8-11-3), the #19 seed, also played Monday at #14 Pisgah (12-3-3).  The Tigers won 2-0.

North Gaston #18 (13-6-2) played Monday at #15 North Henderson , they lost 2-0; #16 Stuart Cramer (11-8-2) will #17 West Henderson (10-8-4) on Tuesday.

It isn't like last year when they were unbeaten heading into the playoffs, but the Lincolnton Wolves made the playoffs this season. Last year, their only loss was to eventual 2A champion Shelby. This year, they've lost 11 games while winning 10 and they had one tie. That was good enough to give them the #27 seed. They'll play at #6 North Forsyth (15-5-2) on Tuesday.

Lincoln Charter also made the 2A playoffs. The Eagles (9-9-3) got the #17 seed and played at #16 Surry Central (12-7-2) on Monday.  They won 2-1. Bandys (17-3-0) was seeded #14 and will host #19 seed Wilkes Central (10-6-3) on Tuesday. Catawba Valley Conference champ Newton-Conover (16-3-1) was seeded #5 and will host #28 Eden Morehead (9-6-3) Tuesday. Pine Lake Prep (17-3-0), champion of the Catawba Shores Conference, was seeded #1 in the West. They played Monday and won 8-0 over North Wilkes.  Defending champion Shelby (16-3-2) was seeded #8.  They hosted #25 Walkertown (8-6-0) on Monday and won 4-0.

Cherryville made the 1A playoffs. The Ironmen (8-10-0) got the #30 seed and visited #3 Gray Stone Day (17-3-1) Monday where they lost 8-0. Thomas Jefferson, Mtn. Island Charter and Highland Tech also made the 1A playoffs. Thomas Jefferson won Monday 2-1 over Cornerstone Charter; Mtn. Island Charter beat Corvian Community 4-3; and Highland Tech lost to Union Academy 3-0.
