Catawba County Governments Consider Huge Economic Development Project

We don't actually know full details, and we can't yet reveal much of what we do know; but Wednesday afternoon at 4:00, there will be a Special Joint Meeting of the Catawba County Board of Commissioners, Conover City Council, Hickory City Council, Maiden Town Council, and Catawba County Property Development Corporation Board of Directors  at the Workforce Solutions Complex, 1980 Startown Road in Hickory.  They will hold a public hearing on a proposal for an Economic Development Agreement by which the County would appropriate and expend funds for incentive grants for a $1,000,000,000 economic development project.
