LINCOLNTON, N.C. - The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Citizen’s Academy participants learned about uniform traffic citations and traffic enforcement during this week of the program.
Detective Dylan Houser discussed law enforcement considerations during traffic stops and gave an overview of the North Carolina uniform citations. Each participant had the opportunity to conduct a traffic stop and to observe different types of traffic stops. Participants will use the information learned this week during their block on courtroom testimony and judicial proceedings.
A special thanks to our Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Explorer volunteers, A. Ward, C. Neff, and A. Lockman. As always, anyone who has information on a crime is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office (704-732-9050), the Lincoln County Communications Center (704-735-8202), or CrimeStoppers (704-736-8909). Download the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office smart phone app for notifications about the sheriff’s office, for inmate and arrest information, to apply for a concealed carry permit, and more.
