Road Closures & Detours For The Denver ELBA Christmas Parade Dec. 3

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - This year’s Denver ELBA Christmas Parade will be on Saturday December 3, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. (approximate). The parade viewing route is from N. Pilot Knob Road and Business NC 16 Hwy to Captain’s Cap (viewers are advised to walk SOUTH of Captain’s Cap to see the Parade). Parade entry staging will occur on N. Pilot Knob Road between NC 73 Hwy and Hager’s Ferry Road, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Road Closures for the area:

  • N. Pilot Knob between NC 73 Hwy and Hager’s Ferry Road.  Closed at 9:30 a.m. and will reopen for traffic 15 minutes after the last participant leaves N. Pilot Knob Road.
  • Bus. NC 16 Hwy will be closed to traffic at the Sunoco station 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the parade, which is 12:30 p.m. and will reopen for traffic 15 minutes after the last participant leaves N. Pilot Knob. The portion of Bus NC 16 Hwy between NC 73 Hwy and the Sunoco station is for LOCAL traffic only, others will be detoured into the Publix parking lot.
  • Bus. NC 16 Hwy at NC73 Hwy turning lanes will be close 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the parade, which is 12:30 p.m. and will reopen for traffic 15 minutes after the last participant leaves N. Pilot Knob Road. LOCAL traffic only, others will be detoured into the Publix parking lot.

The following roads along the parade route will close 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the parade, which is 12:30 p.m. and will reopen for traffic 15 minutes after the last participant leaves.

  • Bus. Hwy 16 at Forest Oak
  • Bus. Hwy 16 at Townsend Drive
  • Bus. Hwy 16 at Water Oaks Drive.
  • Bus. Hwy 16 Farmstead Lane and Clover Lane
  • Bus. Hwy 16 at Cherry Point
  • Waterway Drive at Rivercross Point. no access to Bus. 16
  • Bus. Hwy 16 at Triangle Circle
  • Bus. Hwy 16 at Harbor Master
  • Bus. Hwy 16 at Malibu Point
  • Bus. Hwy 16 at Triad Lane
  • Captain Cap Parking lot
  • Bus. Hwy 16 at Unity Church, South Bound Bus. 16 detour to Triangle Cir to Optimist Club Rd.
  • Rivercross Point at Triangle Circle. Detour to Rivercross Point
