Lincoln County Sheriff's
Office Press Release

LINCOLNTON, N.C. – Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating two separate sex offender violations that occurred over the weekend.

On September 16, 2022 deputies working the West Lincoln-Bandys High School football game arrested a registered sex offender who was attending the ball game. David Glen Bays, 42, of Vale, N.C. was transported to the Lincoln County magistrate’s office where he was charged with being a registered sex offender on school property. He was transported to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center where he was processed and released on a $2,000 secured bond.

The second incident occurred while detectives were at a residence on Old Lincolnton-Crouse Road conducting a criminal investigation. They were attempting to speak to a registered sex offender, Adam Lee Braddy, 38, who listed the location as his address.
Deputies learned that Braddy had moved from the residence about a month ago and did not notify the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office where he last registered in April of 2022.
A warrant charging Braddy with failing to notify the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office of a change of address.

Braddy has not been arrested on the warrant.
