American Legion Post #30 will have its Annual Medal of Honor Banquet on Thursday, October 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the post home located at 1120 North Aspen Street in Lincolnton.
Special guests for the banquet will be Medal of Honor Recipients Robert Martin Patterson (US Army, Viet Nam), Michael John Fitzmaurice (US Army, Viet Nam) and Hershel Woodrow "Woody" Williams (USMC WWII).

The American Legion was founded in 1919 in Paris, France, at the close of World War I. The organization now includes veterans of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon/Grenada periods, Operation Just Cause in Panama, Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Global War On Terror.
