December is a month...
31 days in December...
One month out of 12...
But it is so important...
If you are a child it is filled with questions...
Filled with excitement...
Many are in Christmas plays...
Many are in Christmas nativity pageants...
Christmas trees and hot chocolate...
All these things build memories in...
In their little heads and hearts...
If you are an adult Christmas is many things...
Many years of memories...
Some are wonderful...
Some are not easy to remember...
Christmas is a hard time for some...
It can be stressful for everyone...
You can't find that toy for your child...
The one they want more than anything...
The one the stores are out of...
2022 has added inflation to the pot..
Money is just at the top of the stress list...
Cost of living in general is stressful...
Everyone is hit with this stress...
Now some people seem to have no problems...
But this is almost never true...
Some people just hide their feelings deeper...
No one's Christmas is stress free...
No matter whom you know...
No matter what you think you know...
Know about others...
Now some Decembers are a little less stressful...
Some Decembers have more good...
Good than bad...
But none are perfect...
Not for you and not for others...
Maybe the trick is to concentrate...
Concentrate on our good memories...
Fill our heads with the good times...
People stressing over “Merry Christmas”...
Who will be offended...
2022 is drowning in the word OFFEND...
More reason for stress...
Useless unnecessary stress...
A simple smile can give love...
A simple hug from the heart can...
Can make someone feel warm and happy...
A simple word of cheer can...
Can make a wonderful Christmas memory...
Mary and Joseph could not find a room...
Mary and Joseph could not find a bed...
Jesus was not born in a home...
Jesus had a manger...
Not a fancy crib...
That little baby has given us...
Each of us a reason to hold on...
Hold on to the good in Christmas...
More About Judge Rembert: WWII made Judge an only child when her half-brother was killed in the war. She lived in a tiny town in South Carolina until she was eight and her Mother went to work. She was sent to a boarding school in Belmont, N.C. From that time on she has lived back and forth in the two Carolinas. They are both home. She was born dyslexic and did not know what the problem was or that it had a name until she was about 45. She was unable to spell so she never put words on paper until she was 65 and had a computer with spell check. She comes from a long line of story tellers and a Mother that taught her much by telling stories. Stories about people and how they faced life and how they dealt with problems. If you read what she writes you may hear her Mother and her Grandmother talking to her. She is thrilled to know that anyone reads her words and finds them interesting. Oh, she is 75 now and she now makes her home in Aiken, S.C. If you like Judge’s writings or would like to comment on them let her know by emailing [email protected]
