Mayor Terry Bellamy claimed a more pragmatic approach, saying that as a member of the Asheville City Council and now in her second term as mayor, she has learned to work with both parties to achieve goals. She said the 10th District hasn't been getting fair treatment from Washington and pledged to work toward improving the local economy.
