Christian Ministry of Lincoln County is preparing now for its 27th annual benefit golf tournament. Anyone can help by: donating gift certificates or merchandise to be used as prizes sponsoring a hole at a cost of $100, and a sign will then be put on the course with your name on it or by sponsoring a team from your church or business at a cost of $240. The golf tournament&ndash &ndash a captain&rsquo s choice event, to be held at the Lincoln Country Club&ndash &ndash gets under way with a shotgun blast at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13. The cost is $60 a person or $240 a team to play. The cost includes green and cart fees, dinner at the club, drinks, snacks and two Mulligans (basically do-overs). Skirts and more Mulligans may be purchased for $5 each. Team cash prizes are available at the first, second and third-place levels. The first-place winner will play for free at next years event. Other rewards include those for golfers getting closest to the pins on every par three, the longest drive and door prizes.
