CONOVER, N.C. - Brian Foster Eckard, 43, of Conover, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
He was born June 1, 1979 in Catawba County to the late Carroll Eckard and to Wilma White DonJuan of Conover. Brian attended Newton Pentecostal Church of the Living God.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carroll W. Eckard Jr.; and granddaughter, Juniper Eckard.
Those left to cherish his memory is his partner of 20 years Stacy Leonhardt of Lenoir; son Haven Eckard of Conover; stepsons Adam Bryant of Lenoir, DJ Parker of Lenoir; stepdaughter Alyssa Parker of Lenoir; mother and stepfather Wilma and Marcus DonJuan of Conover; sisters Sharon Benfield and husband Gary of Conover, Kim Huisten and husband Paul of Fargo, N.D.
A service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Rev. Curtis Peak and Rev. Patsy Peak will officiate. Burial will follow at Conover City Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to service from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service. Those serving as pallbearers are Tyler Benfield, Holden Benfield, Gary Benfield, Josh Langois, Nathan Langois, and Paul Huisten. Adam Bryant will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
