LINCOLNTON, N.C. - The Planning Board made the following recommendations after zoning hearings for March 2024.
ZMA #729 Susan Donaldson, applicant (Parcel ID# 23031) A request to rezone a 2.66-acre parcel from R-SF (Residential Single Family) to R-T (Transitional Residential). The property is located on the south side of King Wilkinson Road about 400 feet east of the intersection with Amity Church Road in Ironton Township. The Planning Board voted 8-0 to recommend approval.
ZMA #730 KAT Properties, LLC, applicant (Parcel ID# 29859, 30256, 30258, and 33332) A request to rezone 2.66 acres from B-N (Neighborhood Business) to I-G (General Industrial). The property is located at 1316 S. N.C. 16 Business Hwy. on the south side of Old Plank Road at the intersection with N.C. 16 Business in Catawba Springs Township. The Planning Board voted 8-0 to recommend approval.
PD #2022-9 D.R. Horton, Inc., applicant (Parcel ID# 50192) A request to rezone 26.14 acres from R-T (Transitional Residential) to PD-R (Planned Development Residential) to permit the construction of 176 townhomes. The property is located on the north side of N.C. 73 and the west side of N. Ingleside Farm Rd. at the intersection of the two roads in Catawba Springs Township. The Planning Board voted 8-0 to recommend disapproval.
