LCSO Administrative Staff Shows Support Of Autism Awareness Month

LINCOLNTON, N.C. – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office administrative staff is showing support for Autism Awareness Month 2024 by donning autism awareness t-shirt each Friday during the month of April.
The aim of autism awareness month is to educate the public about autism. Autism is a complex mental condition and developmental disability, characterized by the way a person communicates and interacts with other people. Autism can be present from birth or during early childhood. It is a lifelong developmental disability with no single known cause.
