LINCOLNTON––Award-winning children’s author Stacy McAnulty is coming to Lincoln County.

According to Lincoln County Public Library Director Jennifer Sackett, McAnulty, known for The Miscalculations of Lightning Girl, will visit the county April 24-26 at three registration-required appearances co-ordinated with the Lincoln County Schools. McAnulty will be:

• at the West Lincoln Library, just outside of Lincolnton, April 24, at 4 p.m. (call [704] 276-9946 to register);
• at the Jonas Public Library in Lincolnton, April 25 at 4 p.m. (call [704] 735-8044 to register);
• and at the Shanklin Library in Denver, April 26 at 4:30 p.m. (call [704] 483-3589 to register).

Sackett added that in addition to calling, you may also register via the Internet. Check out the library system’s Website at www.mylincolnlibrary.org.

McAnulty, who has written more than 30 books, will discuss her experiences as a writer and seek to inspire students to write stories of their own. She’ll be available to autograph copies of her books. She writes fiction and non-fiction picture books, young-reader chapter books and middle-grade novels. Originally from upstate New York, she now lives in North Carolina with her husband, three children and three dogs.
